With 10% of proceeds from each organic yoga clothing sale going to a good cause, we wanted to make sure we picked charities we could trust and who are doing great work supporting those in need.
Each cause was picked because they have been evaluated as 4 Star charities by Charity Navigator who evaluate charities' effectiveness by two criteria: Financial Health and Accountability & Transparency.
These rating show how efficiently these causes use their support and and how sustainable these ethical charities are over time. They are also committed to accounting transparency, which means we, the donors, know that the money will be mostly used for the causes we support, rather than more advertising or admin costs.
100% of all public donations to Charity: Water go towards bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Over 663 million people live without clean water around the world. Around 16,000 people die each week from disease due to dirty water, and roughly 43% of these people are children under 5 years old.
95.3% of all donations to the Rainforest Trust are used to strategically purchase and protect lands vital for wildlife conservation. They specifically target rainforests and tropical habitats which are critical for preventing species extinctions. In over 27 years the Rainforest Trust has saved more than 15.7 million acres of rainforests and tropical habitat across 20+ countries in 100+ protected areas and wildlife reserves.
91% of all donations to Hunger Free America are used for various programs to end hunger throughout the USA.
